Scanaiol panoramic trekking

This trail will take you to one of the most characteristic and least known places in the area, Malga Scanaiol. The easy pathway, one of the most scenic in the area, will make you live incredible emotions.

The route starts from Rifugio Tognola soon reaching a ridge with a unique view of Pale di San Martino. After covering the entire ridge, it arrives at Forcella Scanaiol, the ideal place to stop and rest. From here, turning right, it covers the high-altitude loop route leading to Rifugio Tognola. The trail enters the side woods of Vanoi Valley to come out in Malghetta Tognola; after about 15 minutes the trail will lead to Rifugio Tognola.

Alternatively, once arrived at Forcella Scanaiol, turning left, the descending trail, leads to Malga Scanaiol. From here, it returns to San Martino di Castrozza passing through Malga Crel.

This trekking trail starts from Rifugio Tognola, where you will be able to stay and try local typical food with high quality and zero-miles ingredients, and from Malghetta Tognola where you may have sandwiches and light local dishes.

Alpe Tognola Booking and Infopoint Office is dedicated to bookings and information and is located in the station above Tognola Cable car, in front of the Ticket office.
