LOOKING FOR THE STONE OF TIME
Looking for the stone of time
“Alla ricerca della pietra del tempo” (Looking for the stone of time) is the new exciting themed and interactive route for families on Alpe Tognola at 2,200 meters above San Martino di Castrozza.
To become expert investigators, just request to Ski lifts departure station or to Rifugio Tognola the “Kit of the young marmot”; it contains the mission’s booklet with the story and instructions as well as a beautiful, personalized pencil. You will be immediately thrown into a magical world where the awesome Carlotta the marmot will find herself investigating the mysterious disappearance of the stone of time, a fragment of rock fallen from the sky with incredible powers.
Through seven steps, you will meet many fantastic characters, until identifying the seven letters that, at the end of the itinerary, will compose the magic word to find the prize. Which prize? What a question! Obviously, the stone of time!
The experience takes place along the Marmots Trail, a high-altitude loop trail inside Alp of the Marmots Park, where you will find amazing 1-and-a-half-meter wooden statues representing the characters in the story.
Dates: From June 25th to September 24th every day
Cost: 5€ for the “young marmot kit” composed of the magical booklet, personalized wooden pencil and the stone of time representing the final prize.
TRAIL DESCRIPTION
Marmots Trail, surrounded by nature, will lead you through the natural beauties of Alpe Tognola. The loop route starts from Rifugio Tognola and can be reached with Tognola cable car departing from San Martino di Castrozza.
The main feature of this trail is the panoramic view of Pale di San Martino, one of the most iconic groups of the Dolomites, making it an ideal destination for photography lovers.
Easily accessible, this walk is suitable for everyone, especially for families with children.
FOOD AND DRINKS ALONG THE TRAIL
The trail starts from Rifugio Tognola where you will be able to taste local traditional dishes with high quality and zero-miles ingredients.

Alpe Tognola Booking and Infopoint Office is dedicated to bookings and information and is located in the station above Tognola Cable car, in front of the Ticket office.
Chiara Scalet, office manager will recommend you the activities and events to which participate to and will be an essential logistic support while organizing your vacation in San Martino di Castrozza.
